Gardaí Appeal For Information Following Aggravated Burglary

Gardaí in Co Wicklow have appealed for information following an aggravated burglary in Ballynultagh, Shillelagh, on Wednesday 16 March.

The incident occurred at approximately 9.10pm when three males entered a house at Ballynultagh. The owner of the house, a male in his late 80s, was on his own in the property at the time. He was assaulted a number of times by the males by what is believed to be an iron bar. The culprits threatened the elderly man and demanded cash. A sum of cash and jewellery was taken in the burglary.

The three raiders were described as being of average height, two of slim build and one of stocky build and all in their 20s to 30s and all had their faces covered for the entire incident.

The injured party is currently in hospital where is condition is described as stable.
