Two Men Arrested Following Burglary In Lurcan
Two men have been arrested in connection with a burglary in Lurcan in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
Gardaí were alerted to a burglary at the Weston housing estate at about 4am.
Two cars drove from the scene towards Celbridge Village and came to a stop after crashing and entering the River Liffey at Celbridge Bridge.
Two male juveniles were arrested at the scene and are currently being detained at Lucan Garda Station under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
There were no reports of any injuries.

Two Prison Officers Injured In Attack
Two prison officers have been injured in an unprovoked attack by an inmate at Mountjoy Prison, the Irish Prison Service has confirmed. The attack took place at approximately 8:30am on Thursday morning. The inmate, currently serving a four-year term for aggravated burglary, used an improvised weapon in the attack.
