Art Stolen In 2013 Recovered In Co Offaly
A number of valuable artworks stolen in a robbery in 2013 have been recovered by gardaí in a planned operation in Edenderry, Co Offaly.
The six recovered oil paintings - part of a set of 14 Stations of the Cross - were reported stolen from the Church of St. Peter & St. Paul, Kiltullagh, Co. Galway in June 2013.
The discovery was made by Gardaí attached to Edenderry and Tullamore during a search of wasteland near Edenderry on Tuesday afternoon. The paintings were found in good condition and have been removed from the scene to Tullamore Garda Station for forensic and technical examination.
No one was arrested during this phase of the investigation and enquiries are ongoing, garda said.

Man Arrested In Connection With Death Of 64-Year-Old
Garda in Co Offaly have reported the arrest of a 19-year-old man in connection with the death of 64-year-old Thomas (Toddy) Dooley. The body of Mr Dooley was found at his home in Sister Senan Court, Edenderry, on 16 February. He had sustained injuries to his upper body and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Man Arrested Following Cannabis Find
Gardai have arrested a man after 300 cannabis plants, worth around €250,000, were seized in Co Offaly. The plants were found at a house at Coolcur in Rhode on Wednesday. A 50-year-old male is currently being detained at Tullamore Garda Station.

Appeal Renewed Over Farrell Murder
An appeal for information over the murder of Matt Farrell in County Offaly has been renewed one year on. Gardai investigating the murder which, occurred at the Gaelic Bar in Daingean, on April 1 2009 said they are still looking for vital information from the public. The body of Matt Farrell, 64, was found in his pub on the morning of April 1.
