Man Arrested In Connection With Murder Of Noel Duggan
A man has been arrested in connection with the murder of Moel Duggan in Co Meath on 23 March.
Gardaí investigating Mr Duggan's murder made the arrest on Monday afternoon.
Mr Duggan, 57, was shot a number of times as he sat in a car on the Old Mill housing estate, Ratoath, Co Meath, last month.
The suspect, aged in his 40s, is being detained under Section 30 Offences Against The State Act, 1939 at Ashbourne Garda Station.

IPU Warns Parents Not To Give Children Under 12 Codeine-Containing Medicines
The Irish Pharmacy Union (IPU) is warning parents not to treat children below 12 years old with codeine-containing medicines for coughs and colds because of the risk of serious side-effects. In addition, the use of codeine for coughs and colds is not recommended in adolescents between 12 and 18 years who already have problems with their breathing.

Worker Killed In Steel Plant Accident
A man has been killed following an incident at a steel plant in Cork this morning. The 62-year-old worker died at around 9.30am after an accident at the Duggan Steel plant in Millstreet in North Cork. The Health and Safety Authority has said its inspectors are at the scene and has confirmed it has launched an investigation into the incident.

A man in his 40's has been arrested in connection with the murder of Jolanta Lubiene and her eight-year-old daughter Enrika in Co Kerry. He is currently being detained under the provisions of Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act 1939 as amended at Killarney Garda Station.

Gardaí have arrested a 38-year-old man in connection with a stabbing incident in Co Cavan on New Year's Eve. Marek Swider was fatally stabbed in a violent incident at a house on Dublin Street in Ballyjamesduff on Sunday, 31 December. The arrest was made in Cork city this morning, Thursday 04 January.
