Water Disruption In Navan During Essential Works
Some residents in Navan have been warned to expect disruptions to their water supply throughout Wednesday.
Meath County Council has warned residents in Abbeylands Crescent and Old Abbeylands in Navan while essential maintenance works are carried out.
Work is expected to be completed on the same day.
Meath County Council on behalf of Irish Water regrets any inconvenience caused.
NASRA Strike Action Cancelled
Strike action planned by members of the National Ambulance Service Representative Association (NASRA) has been deferred.
94% of NASRA member voted in favour of the strike action, that had been due to be held today. However, NASRA's parent body, the Psychiatric Nurses Association, has initiated new talks with the HSE and National Ambulance Service.
The dispute concerns the ambulance drivers rosters.
Custom House Visitor Centre Opening Extended
The Visitor Centre at the Custom House is to remain open until September 2016, due to the level of public interest.
Over 7,000 people, including 1,400 on Easter Monday alone, have visited the exhibition, housed in the river-facing south side of the building.
The current exhibition outlines the history of the Custom House with a new focus on the "Decade of Centenaries". It describes events in the building during Easter Week 1916 and considers the history of the Custom House and its occupants from then until 1921, when the building was completely destroyed by fire during the War of Independence.

100 New Jobs Announced In Shannon
One hundred new jobs are to be created in Shannon with the opening of a European manufacturing plant by AMAX. The company, which produces dynamic Data Centre & Cloud, custom Server Appliance and High Performance Computing (HPC) solutions, will establish its first European operation at Western Business Park Shannon.

Fianna Fáil members have called on the Government to intervene and take action to prevent an ambulance service strike planned for Tuesday 22 January. The party's Health Spokesperson has urged the Minister for Health, Simon Harris, and the Health Service Executive (HSE) to act before 500 emergency care providers take industrial action.

Three Die In Separate House Fires
Two men and a woman have died in three separate house fires in Limerick and Kerry. In the latest incident, a man in his 60s died following a house fire in Tralee in Co Kerry. The fire broke out in the terraced house in Connolly Park at about 9.30pm yesterday. Gardaí were called to the scene at around 9.
