125 New Jobs Announced By Minister For Gaeltacht Affairs

Digital Marketing firm, SLM Connect, is to create 125 new jobs with its expansion into Na Doirí Beaga, Co. Donegal.

The Manchester-based company is to establish a new business at Páirc Ghnó Ghaoth Dobhair.

Welcoming the news, Minister of State for Gaeltacht Affairs, Joe McHugh, said that SLM's investment will have a huge economic impact on the Donegal Gaeltacht.

"This decision by SLM to establish a new business in Gaoth Dobhair is an expression of confidence in the area and local workers. I commend Údarás na Gaeltachta for enticing this investment to the Donegal Gaeltacht. This is evidence of the way in which the west of Ireland, and particularly the Gaeltacht, can benefit from employment creation through foreign direct investment," Minister McHugh said.

"This announcement is very important to the Gaoth Dobhair area," Minister of State McHugh said, "as it sends a message that the area is open for business and that there are wonderful investment opportunities here for multinational companies thanks to our young, flexible and highly-trained workforce."
