Garda Investigating Infant's Death In 1970s Searching Property In South Dublin
Gardaí have begun a search of a house in south Dublin in connection with an investigation into the death of a new born infant in the 1970s.
It is understood that officers investigating the case executed a search warrant on Thursday evening.
Garda said expect the search to last two to three weeks. The result of the search will determine the future direction of the investigation.
Further information on the case is expected to be released following the conclusion of the garda operation.

Six Due In Court Over Cannabis Find
A total of six men are to appear court this Thursday morning over the seizure of €200,000 worth of cannabis. The men are to appear at Sligo District Court charged with drugs and immigration offences at 10.30 a.m. A total of eight people were arrested in connection with the seizure on Tuesday.

Major Search Operation Ongoing For Missing Jet-Skier
A major search operation is ongoing on Lough Ree in the Midlands after a woman went missing while jet-sking. The operation was launched on Sunday evening after a woman failed to return to shore at the lake, which borders Westmeath and Longford. Irish Coast Guard Helicopter, RNLI crews, civil defence and sub-aqua clubs are involved in the operation.

Eight Held After Cannabis Seizure
A total of eight people have been arrested after a drug raid by Gardaí on a house in Leitrim. Officers arrested seven males and one female after the discovery of cannabis plants, which have an estimated street value of approximately €200,000 pending analysis. Woman, 60, In Court Over Cold Case Murder
A woman in her 60's will appear at Longford District Court on Tuesday morning charged in relation to the death of 43-year-old Brian Mc Grath in Co Westmeath 21 years ago. A Family Man and father-of-four, Mr McGrath went missing from his home in Coole in Co Westmeath in March of 1987.
