Gardai Appeal Following Cyclist Collision In Dublin

Gardai are appealing for witnesses after a serious collision between a cyclist and a pedestrian in Dublin.

The incident occurred in Phoenix Park at around 8:40pm yesterday, 02 May.

A male cyclist, aged in his 50's, was travelling on the cycle lane on the upper part of Chesterfield Ave, between the Aras and Castleknock Gate, when he collided with a pedestrian.

He sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital, where his condition is described as critical.

The male pedestrian, aged in his 30s, was taken to hospital with leg and back injuries.

Cyclist Dies Following Collision In Phoenix Park
A cyclist has died following a collision with a pedestrian in the Phoenix Park in Dublin. The crash occurred at around 8.40pm on Monday, 03 May. The man, aged in his 50s, was travelling on the cycle lane on the upper part of Chesterfield Avenue. He sustained serious injuries and was taken to Beaumount Hospital.

Cyclist Suffers Serious Injuries In Traffic Collision
A cyclist has received serious injuries following a traffic collision which happened around 7.30am this morning. An articulated lorry and a cyclist were involved in the incident which happened on the Swords Road, Cloghran. The cyclist remains in a serious condition in Beaumont hospital. The driver of the truck was uninjured.

Teenage Cyclist Dies From Injuries Following Collision
A teenager has died in hospital from injuries he sustained in a collision on Sunday, 21 August. The 13-year-old cyclist collided with a car on the main Drogheda to Slane Road at about 8.30pm on Sunday evening. He was being treated at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda however he died from his injuries on Tuesday night, 23 August.

Female Cyclist Dies In Co Kerry Collision
A female cyclist has died following a crash in Co Kerry. The incident happened on the Dingle to Tralee Road at around 10.40am on Sunday, 21 August. The bicycle she was riding left the road and hit a ditch. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Her body has been removed to University Hospital Tralee. The road has since been reopened.
