Teenager Arrested Over Serious Attack In Dublin

A teenager has been arrested in connection with a serious attack in Dublin.

The assault happened shortly after 1am at the junction of Dame Lane and Trinity Street on Monday, 02 May.

The 21-year-old victim sustained injuries to his face and was taken to St James's Hospital for treatment.

The 16-year-old suspect was arrested under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 as amended and has been detained at Pearse Street Garda Station.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to contact them.

Man Arrested Following Drugs Find
Drugs with an estimated street value of €170,000 have been seized by gardai during a raid on a property in west Dublin. Cocaine and cannabis was found during the raid at a house in Balgaddy. A gun and ammunition were also discovered. A 37-year=old has been arrested and is being detained at Ronanstown Garda Station.

Men Arrested Over €1m Cocaine And Heroin Find
Heroin and cocaine, with an estimated street value of €1m, has been recovered in a house search in Ballyfermot on Tuesday. Gardaí arrested two men, aged in their 30s, at the scene after officers uncovered 13kgs of cocaine worth an estimated €900,000 and 1.5kgs of heroin, with an estimated value of €225,000.

Woman And Child Hit By Car While Walking On Dublin Street
A woman has been killed after being hit by a car as she pushed a pram along a Dublin street. Gardaí have reported that the woman in her 30s was killed and a child injured when they were hit by a car on the main Dublin Road into Balbriggan. The child is being treated at Temple Street Children's Hospital.

Bus Attack Heroes Get Free Ride
The two men who came to the aid of a Dublin bus driver on Saturday have been praised as heroes by the bus company and given 'freedom of the city' as reward. The two students, Matthew Carpenter and Karl Ussher, both 20, and from Tallaght, who went to the aid of the driver on Saturday night when he was attacked following a dispute.
