Investigation Launched Following Post Office Robbery In Co Louth
Gardaí have launched an investigation following an armed robbery at a post office in Co Louth.
The incident happened at a premises in Clogherhead on Tuesday, 03 May.
Three men armed with a firearm, sledge hammer and a metal bar, threatened staff and made off with a large sum of money in a blue coloured Audi A3 car, partial registration number 00RN.
A search of the area was carried out and the vehicle was located, on fire, in a field on the Coast Road a short time later.
It is believed the suspects left the area in a silver coloured Skoda that was parked at the entrance to this field.
Gardaí are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Gardaí Chase ATM Thieves Across Border
Thieves travelling with an ATM stolen from Co Louth travelled across the border this morning while being pursued by Gardaí. The culprits were intercepted on Dunleer Main Street at around 4.30am this morning, Wednesday 15 January, by patrolling members of the Garda Armed Support unit.

Woman Attacked During Armed Robbery In Co Wexford
A woman has been assaulted during an armed robbery in Co Wexford. Three men, believed to be armed with a firearm, sledge hammer and a pick-axe handle, entered a post office in Kilanerin and threatened a female member of staff. She was attacked and received minor injuries.

An investigation has been launched following an armed robbery at a shop in Kildalkey, Co Meath At approximately 17:45 on Thursday, two males entered a shop armed with a hand gun and an iron bar. They threatened staff and removed an amount of cash before leaving the store. It is understood they were driven from the scene in a waiting car.

Four Girls In Hospital After Aerosol Explosion
Garda are investigating the circumstances surrounding four girls ending up in hospital after an aerosol exploded in a house in Drogheda on Sunday. The girls are being treated in hospital, two in Crumlin's children's hospital and two in Tallaght, following the incident. Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
