Renewed Appeal For Missing 35-Year-Old Man
Gardaí have renewed an appeal for help in tracing a missing 35-year-old man from Co Kildare.
Marcin Michalak, a Polish national, was last seen at a supermarket in Maynooth on the evening of Sunday, 17 April.
He is described as being 5' 9'' in height, strong appearance and has a tight hair cut and a partial beard. When last seen he was wearing blue jeans, black hoodie top with red writing on it and beige walking shoes. He was known to carry a small black backpack.
Marcin was driving a Grey Mazada 6 car - 04 WX 203 which was located by a routine Garda patrol at Luggala, Co. Wicklow close to a forest area and trails in the Wicklow National Park.
On Sunday, 15 May investigating Gardaí will be appealing for information at Luggala, Co Wicklow where Mr Michalak's car was located.
Gardaí are concerned for Marcin's welfare and anyone with information or who may have seen his car are asked to contact Leixlip Garda Station on 01 - 6667800, The Garda Confidential Line, 1800 666111 or any Garda Station.

Gardaí Appeal For Witnesses To Fatal Co Limerick Accident
Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to a fatal accident in Hospital, Co Limerick, in which a 44-year-old man was killed. The man was walking on Main Street in the town at about 2am on Tuesday morning when he was hit by a car. He was pronounced dead at the scene. It is understood no one else was injured in the incident.

Fianna Fáil is calling on the Minister for Justice to consider re-opening Rush Garda Station. Senator and Seanad Spokesperson for Justice Clifford-Lee said: "Rush is a large and growing urban area with a surrounding rural hinterland. It is among the fastest-growing areas within the fastest growing constituency and county in Ireland.

Justice And Equality Budget To Increase By €85m
The budget for the Justice and Equality sector is to be increased by €85 million, totalling €2.54 billion in 2017. Funding has been provided for the recruitment of 800 Garda recruits in 2017 and up to 500 civilians to support the wide ranging reform plan in train in An Garda Síochána. A total of €71.

Taoiseach Makes Garda Commitments Following O'Higgins Report Publication
The Taoiseach Enda Kenny has committed to increase garda numbers to 15,000, double the number of garda reserve officers and increase the number of civilian workers in An Garda Síochána to free up officers for frontline policing. The Taoiseach made his comments in a statement addressing the newly published O'Higgins Commission Report.
