Fourth Man Arrested In David Byrne Murder Investigation

A fourth man has been arrested in connection with the murder of David Byrne.

Mr Byrne was shot dead during a boxing weigh-in event at the Regency Hotel in Dublin on 05 February, 2016

A man, aged in his 50s, was arrested on Wednesday. He is being detained at Raheny Garda Station under Section 50 of The Criminal Justice Act 2007.

Another man, aged in his 20s, arrested on 13 May, is due to appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice charged in connection with Mr Byrne's murder.

Two Arrested Over Byrne Murder
Two men in their 20's have been arrested in West Dublin in connection with the murder of a 19-year-old man in Inchicore. David Byrne was found in the car park of Emmet Court apartment block on Saturday night. He was stabbed at least four times and was pronounced dead in St James's Hospital.

Fianna Fáil Spokesperson on Education and Skills, Thomas Byrne, said that construction is yet to even start on five schools which were first announced in 2013.
