32-Year-Old Man Due In Court Over Dundrum Drug Seizures
A 32-year-old man is due to appear before Dun Laoghaire District Court charged in connection with a drug seizure in Dundrum.
Gardaí from the Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau seized heroin, worth an estimated €240,000, after stopping and searching a vehicle off Sandymount Road on Tuesday.
A man and a 17-year-old woman, were arrested in connection with the discovery of approximately one kilo of heroin (pending analysis), with a street value of €140,000.
During a follow up search of a house at Ballyogan Green, Carrickmines another kilo of heroin (pending analysis) with a street value of €140,000 was discovered.
The female has since been released and a file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

Gardaí Drug Bust Scoops €5m
A Gardaí operation in Dublin has turned up a major drug find resulting in arrests and the seizure of a heroin stash worth almost €5 million. According to a Gardaí spokesman, an ongoing operation targeting illegal drug activity in the South Dublin area led officers from the National Support Services to stop a van in the Templeogue area.

Man In Court Over Cork Heroin Seizure
A 34-year-old man has appeared in court in Co Cork charged in connection with a heroin seizure in Bandon last Friday. Raymond Tanner, from Casement Street in Clonakilty, was charged with possession for sale or supply of the drug. He was remanded in custody at Bandon District Court on Monday.

A 20 year-old man is currently being detained by gardaí following a significant drug find at house in Dublin. In the course of the search on the property in St Mark's Grove, Clondalkin, Dublin, Gardai recovered approximately 1Kg of Heroin with an estimated street value of €200,000, pending analysis.

New Powers Allow For Roadside Drug Testing
The Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport, Shane Ross has announced the commencement of the drug driving provisions in the Road Traffic Act 2016. One of the key measures in the legislation provides for Preliminary Drug Testing, which will enable Gardaí to test motorists whom they suspect of driving under the influence of drugs at the roadside.
