Luas Strike Postponed To Allow New Talks

Strike action planned by Luas drivers today, 26 May and Friday has been postponed to allow new talks at the Labour Court.

The postponement was announced after SIPTU representatives accepted an invitation issued through the offices of the ICTU to attend a meeting with Transdev, at the Labour Court.

SIPTU Transport, Energy, Aviation and Construction Division Organiser, Owen Reidy, said: "Given this welcome initiative from the Labour Court the work stoppages by SIPTU LUAS Drivers scheduled for Thursday, 26 May, and Friday, 27 May, have been cancelled.

"SIPTU representatives along with members of the LUAS Driver Committee and ICTU officials will attend the meeting at the Labour Court."
