Investigation Launched Into Fatal Road Collision In Co Clare
Gardaí have launched an investigation following a fatal car crash in Co Clare.
A car collided with a motorcyclist at around 4.45pm on the Lisdoonvarna to Kilrush road (R478) on Tuesday, 31 May.
A 35-year-old male was pronounced dead at the scene.
The male driver and a female passengers were also injured and have been taken to Galway University Hospital and Limerick Hospital.
The motorcyclist was seriously injured and is also being treated at Limerick Hospital.
The road was closed to allow a Forensic Collision examination to take place, however it has since reopened.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses.

Motorcyclist Dies In Carlow Crash
A man has been killed in a road crash in Co Carlow. The motorcyclist died when he collided with a parked vehicle at Closutton, near Leighlinbridge, at around 9.30am this morning. The man’s body has been removed to Kilkenny hospital. His name has not yet been released. Gardaí are investigating the incident.

A woman has been seriously injured following a three-car collision on the N4 Dublin/Sligo Road. The crash occurred on the Edgeworth Road at approximately 5.30pm on Wednesday (7 January). The woman is currently being treated at Midland Regional Hospital. The main Dublin/Sligo Road has been closed and diversions are in place.

The collision occurred at approximately 6.55am on the Lifford to Letterkenny road at Drumoghill – approximately three to four miles outside Letterkenny – between a car and a tractor.

A Northern Ireland-based motorcyclist has died following a crash at the Killalane Road Races, near Skerries, in north County Dublin. Victor Gilmore, 42, from Ballymoney was critically injured after he came off his bike at around 1.20pm on Sunday. The Irish police said he was rushed to Beaumont Hospital in Dublin, but was then pronounced dead.
