Man Due In Court Over 2012 Double Murder In Dundalk
A 34-year-old man is due to appear before Dundalk District Court this morning charged in connection with a double murder in March 2012.
The suspected was arrested when he was returned to Ireland following his extradition from Spain in April this year.
He is charged in connection with the murder of Anthony Burnett and Joseph Redmond; their bodies were found in a burnt-out car at Ravensdale Park in Dundalk, on 07 March, 2012.
The two men had been shot before the car was set on fire.

The government have been urged to create a free schoolbook loan scheme in an effort to ease the financial burden on families preparing for their children's return to school. Sinn Féin’s finance spokesperson, Pearse Doherty TD, made the call saying that it was time the government "recognised the hardship that buying schoolbooks is causing.

Man Arrested For Second Time In 2012 Murder Investigation
Gardaí investigating the murder of man in Co Kerry in 2012 have arrested a 29-year-old man in Killorglin. The body of 58-year-old James Cahillane was found by fiefighters at his home near Beaufort in April 2012. Detectives initially thought that Mr Cahillane died in an accidental fire.
