Cannabis Herb And Plants Seized In Co Laois
Gardaí have seized cannabis herb and plants worth an estimated €290,000 in Offaly, Co Laois.
As part of on-going intelligence led operation targeting the sale and supply of controlled drugs in the area, Gardai carried out the planned search of a house on Main Street, Ballyroan, at 10pm on Wednesday, 29 June.
During the course of the search, cannabis herb with an estimated street value of up to €50,000 and cannabis plants with an estimated street value of up to €240,000, pending analysis, were seized.
Three men were arrested at the scene and were detained under the provisions of Section 2 of The Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 at Portlaoise Garda Station.
All three men were charged and appeared before Dublin District Court CCJ on Saturday 02 July, 2016 and were remanded in custody to appear before Cloverhill Court next Thursday 07 July, 2016.

Garda Seize Cannabis Plants Worth €400,000
Cannabis plants with an estimated street value of €400,000 have been seized following a search at a house in in Co Kildare. Garda found the plants inside a residence in Ballyboeen, Kilcock as part of an ongoing investigation. No arrests have yet been made and garda have said the investigation is ongoing.

Cannabis Seized During Raid In Wexford
Gardai have seized herbal cannabis following a raid on a house in Wexford. It is estimated to have a street value of €45,000. A number of plants were found during the search of a property in Lee Heights on Thursday. No arrests were made and investigations are continuing.

Revenue and garda officers have seized 20,000 illegal cigarettes, a quantity of drugs and cash during two searches in Dundalk, Co Louth. Revenue officers, acting on intelligence, carried out searches at two premises and discovered 20,000 smuggled 'Excellence'-branded cigarettes along with 7kgs of 'Flandria' tobacco.
