Jean McConville Murder: Ivor Bell To Stand Trial
Veteran republican Ivor Bell, from west Belfast, has been ordered to stand trial for alleged involvement in the murder of Jean McConville, a judge has ruled.
Mr Bell, aged 79, is charged with aiding and abetting the kidnap, killing and secret burial of the mother of 10 in 1972.
He denies the allegations and a charge of being a member of the IRA.
Mrs McConville was kidnapped from her home in the Divis flats and was wrongly accused of passing information to the security forces.
She was shot in the back of the head and her remains were located at a beach in Co Louth over 30 years later.
Mr Bell was released on continuing bail.

Limerick Stabbing Victim Dies
A man has been held by Gardaí in Limerick shortly after a fatal stabbing attack in the town in the early hours of Thursday morning. They arrested a 25-year-old man following the killing. The 45-year-old victim was found with serious stab wounds at a house on Lenihan Avenue in Prospect at around 2am.
