Man Dies In Fatal Car Crash In Co Cork
A man has died following a fatal road traffic collision in Co Cork.
The incident happened shortly before 4:30am in Eden Hill, Mallow this morning, 11 July.
The victim, in his early 30's, was fatally injured when his car collided with a truck on the N72 at Longueville. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
His body has been taken to Cork University Hospital where a post mortem is to be arranged.
The N72 is closed at Longville to allow Garda to carry out forensic studies.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses.

Man Killed In Fatal Road Accident In Co Cork
Gardaí in Co Cork have reported the death of a 25-year-old man in a road accident. It is understood the man was fatally injured when his tractor struck a ditch shortly after midnight on the Glanworth to String Cross Road at Glanworth, Co. Cork. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The Coroner and the Health and Safety Authority have been notified.

Man Arrested Over The Murder Of Mikolaj Wilk
A man has been arrested in connection with the murder of Mikolaj Wilk in County Cork last June. The suspect, aged in his 30s, has been detained at Togher Garda Station. 35-year-old Mr Wilk, who was originally from Poland, died when he was attacked by a gang at his home in Ballingcollig.

A man in his fifties who was arrested in connection with a fatal hit-and-run incident in Co Cork on Tuesday has been released without charge. Josephine McCarthy, 85, from Main Street in Castlemartyr, died after being struck by a car on the N25 in the village, shortly after 7am on Tuesday. She died in hospital later that day.
