Appeals Issued For Missing Men In Galway And Cavan

Gardaí in Galway have appealed for help in tracing 19-year-old Finian Varden Kenny, who has been missing since the weekend.

Mr Kenny was last seen in the area of Turloughmore, Athenry, Co Galway on Sunday, 10 July 2016.

The teenager is described as being 5'9" with brown hair and hazel eyes. It is understood that Mr Kenny wears a distinctive Alpine Lowe hat, which is light blue on and top dark blue on the bottom. He is also known to wear a scarf and ear defenders that can be mistaken for headphones. When last seen he was wearing an olive green khaki Jacket, blue cord trousers and trek style shoes.

Elsewhere, Gardaí in Cavan have also appealed for help in tracing 51-year-old Uldis Mikelsons, who has been missing from Swellan Lower, Co Cavan.

Mr Mikelsons was last seen on the morning of Friday, 08 July, leaving his home in Cavan. He is described as being 5'11" in height, of medium build, with brown hair and green eyes. When last seen Uldis was wearing brown trousers, a grey jumper and black shoes. He was carrying a blue back pack.

46 Confirmed Cases Of Ash Dieback

Appeal Renewed For Missing 74-Year-Old Athlone Woman
Gardaí have renewed their appeal for help in tracing 74-year-old Kathleen Reilly, who was last seen at around 14:30 on Thursday 16 June near the Primary Care Centre in Clonbrusk. Kathleen was seen walking in the direction of Coosan at that time. She is described as being 5ft tall, of small build and with grey hair.

Met Éireann Issues Status Yellow Warning
Met Éireann has issued a 'Status Yellow' warning for parts of Ireland today following overnight snowfall. Drivers have also been advised to leave additional time for journeys and to travel carefully as snow and ice could make driving conditions difficult.
