80-Year-Old Man Injured During Aggravated Burglary
Gardaí in Malahide have issued an appeal for information following an aggravated burglary in Kettle's Lane, Swords, Co Dublin, on 29 July.
Three men, believed to be carrying weapons, entered a house sometime between 3am and 4am on Friday, 29 July. They assaulted the homeowner, a man aged in his 80s, and demanded money.
The elderly man had to be treated in hospital for injuries sustained during the incident.
Garda said the three male offenders were wearing dark clothing and balaclavas and at least two of them spoke with Dublin accents.
It is understood the men fled the scene with a small amount of money, but their mode of transport and direction of travel is unknown.
No arrests have been made and Gardaí are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information is asked to contact them at Malahide Garda Station on 01 6664600, The Garda Confidential Line, 1800 666111 or any Garda Station.

Former Politician Arrested Over Alleged Murder Conspiracy

Three In Court Following Tipperary Attack
Three of the five men arrested in relation to the shooting and stabbing of two men in Tipperary yesterday are appearing in Roscrea District Court this Thursday morning. The other two men were released without charge and a file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions regarding their detentions.

Two Arrested Over Aidan Myers Murder
Two people have been arrested in connection with the murder of Aidan Myers, gardaí have confirmed. Mr Myers, 37, was killed by a gang who had attempted to hijack the car in which he was a passenger in Faughart, Co. Louth on December 12, 2006. He died after being attacked by a machete.

Missing Man Found 'Safe And Well'
A missing 24-year-old man has been found "safe and well". Alex Sherwin had been reported missing on Sunday, with garda issuing a public appeal for assistance. No information on Mr Sherwin's whereabouts have been released, but garda said the investigation had now ended. They thanked the public for their help.

Man Arrested After Shots Fired At Property In Dublin
A man has been arrested after shots were fired at a property in Dublin on Friday morning. Three men are believed have targeted the house on Oranmore Road in Ballyfermot at approximately 10am. A firearm was also recovered from the scene of the attack. The man is being detained at Ballyfermot Garda Station.
