Call For Parents Not To Bring Children To Temple Street Following Power Cut
Parents are being urged not to bring their children to Temple Street Children's Hospital in Dublin following a problem with the power supply.
At around 3am this morning, 04 August, the hospital suffered an eight second interruption to its power supply and switched over to run on its own generator.
Following an investigation, it was discovered the transformer in the hospital sub-station needs to be replaced.
The replacement is to take place on Saturday, 06 August.
However, an additional generator is expected to be at the hospital this evening.
Five patients had to be transferred to Our Lady's Children's Hospital in Crumlin.

Motorcyclist Dies Following Crash
A motorcyclist has died following a crash with a car in Tullamore, Co Offaly, on Thursday. The female who was driving the car is currently being treated at the Midland Regional Hospital Tullamore. Gardai are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.

Shots Fired At House In Drogheda
An investigation has been launched into a shooting incident in Drogheda, Co Louth on Thursday night. According to gardaí some fifteen shots were fired at the house in Knockbrack Close at around 21:30 last night. Two women and five children were in the house at the time, with one of the women being grazed by a bullet.

A man and two children have been airlifted to hospital after they got into difficulty while swimming in County Kerry. The Coast Guard was tasked to Derrynanne at around 12.20pm on Sunday afternoon, 18 August, following reports that a man and two children had been swept out to sea.
