Man Killed After Motorcycle Collides With Cow

A 28-year-old man has died after his motorcycle collided with a cow on the Navan to Athboy Road in Co Meath.

The fatal collision occurred at about 10.15pm on Monday night. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

A post-mortem examination is due to be carried out at Navan Hospital.

The road is currently closed to facilitate a Forensic collision examination and local diversions are in place.

It is expected the road will remain closed until at least lunchtime today, 16 August.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses and anyone who may have been on that stretch of road between 10pm and 10.15pm to contact them at Navan Garda Station on 046 9036100, The Garda Confidential Line, 1800 666111 or any Garda Station.

Woman Dies After Being Hit By Car In Dublin
An elderly woman who was hit by a car in Dublin has died in hospital. The incident occurred on the Navan Road at around 8.15am on Sunday, 04 September. The driver of the car was arrested and taken to Finglas Garda Station. He has been released and a file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).

Gardaí in Co Meath have reported the death of a 25-year-old man in a road accident in the early hours of Monday morning. The man died in hospital following a single-vehicle collision at about 12:30am at Dunheeda, on the main Kingscourt to Drumconrath road.

Gardai Appeal For Witnesses To Fatal Road Accident
Gardaí in Co Wexford have appealed for witnesses to a fatal road accident on the N25 at Kilmacree. A woman in her 20s was killed when her car collided with another vehicle at about 12:25 on Sunday. The male driver and female passenger in the other car, both in their 50s, were seriously injured and were also taken to Wexford General Hospital.

Four Men Dead In Separate Collisions
A total of four men have died in a spate of separate car collisions over the weekend. In the most recent incident, a motorcyclist collided with a pick-up truck towing a trailer, resulting in the death of the motorcyclist, a man in his late 20s. The collision which occurred at Cloghnadromin, Ballysimon, CoLimerick at approx 1.30pm on Sunday.

Two People Killed In Co Cork Road Traffic Collision
Two people have been killed in a road traffic collision in Co Cork yesterday, 05 April. The incident happened at around 5:10pm on the N20 Cork to Limerick Road one mile outside Mallow. The occupants of one car, a male and female both in their 70's, were killed in the collision.
