Status Yellow Weather Warning Issued
Met Éireann has issued a Status Yellow national weather warning for strong winds and heavy rain across a number of Counties.
In counties Wexford, Clare, Cork, Kerry and Waterford, winds of 50 to 65 km/hr are expected, with gusts of up 80 or 90 km/hr in exposed areas.
Long periods of rain, with some thundery downpours are expected in Counties Clare and Kerry, with warnings of spot flooding, especially in coastal areas.
The forecaster said that a deep Atlantic depression is approaching from the southwest and will track east over Ireland on Friday night and early Saturday. It is expected to generate some unseasonably strong southwesterly winds on its southern flank with the strongest winds affecting southwestern and southern coastal counties later Friday and early Saturday. Some squalls of 80 or 90km/h are possible in coastal areas. Rough seas are expected with some heavy thundery rain or showers at times also.

Met Eireann Warns Of More Flooding
Met Eireann has issued a flood alert warning for later this evening. An orange status weather alert has been issued and heavy rain and gale force winds are expected to move in to Munster and South Leinster this afternoon. Further flooding is like to occur, especial in exposed coastal counties of the South and Southeast at high tides.

Met Éireann Issue Yellow Warning For Wind And Rain
A yellow warning has been issued by Met Éireann for heavy rain and strong winds across most parts of Ireland from Friday evening until Sunday. The forecaster has predicted between 60 and 90mm of rain in coastal and mountainous areas. Temperatures will range between 15 to 18 degrees tomorrow, dropping to 13 to 15 degrees on Sunday.

The forecaster has warned small craft boats to avoid going the sea today as winds are expected to reach speeds of 55kmph into the afternoon. Cold temperatures and showers are expected throughout the day, with rain turning heavy in the evening.

Met Eireann Issue Severe Weather Warning
As heavy rain and strong winds continue to batter Ireland a severe weather warning has been issued for at least the next 24 hours. Met Éireann has released the warning and are advising motorists to exercise extreme care on the roads where spot flooding and debris are making driving conditions dangerous.

Status Yellow Rainfall Warning Issued Across 11 Counties
Met Éireann have issued a Status Yellow weather warning for rain across 11 counties. The warning, which came into effect at 7am this morning, is in place for Dublin, Kildare, Laois, Longford, Louth, Wicklow, Offaly, Westmeath, Meath, Cavan and Monaghan. The warning will remain in place until 6am tomorrow, when it will be reviewed.
