Rise In Number Of Irish People Returning To Ireland From Abroad

The number of Irish people returning to Ireland has risen by 74%, according to figures released by the Central Statistics Office (CSO).

Approximately 21,000 people returned to Ireland from overseas to live at home between May 2015 and April 2016.

The number of immigrants to Ireland in the year ending in April is estimated to have increased by almost 15%, while the number of emigrants dropped.
