Almost €200,000 Seized From Vehicle In Dublin

Almost €200,000 in cash has been seized by garda during a vehicle search in Dublin.

Gardaí attached to the Drugs & Organised Crime Bureau, assisted by the newly formed Special Crime Task Force, stopped and searched a vehicle in the vicinity of the Fonthill Road, Dublin 22 on Saturday, 27 August.

During the operation, Gardaí located and seized a significant amount of cash, concealed in the vehicle, estimated at €200,000.

A 39-year-old man was arrested at the scene. He was detained at Ronanstown Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 but has since been released from Garda custody without charge.

A file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions. The operation is ongoing.

Pair Held After Cocaine Seizure
Two men have been arrested in Co Kildare after Gardaí seized an estimated €200,000 worth of cocaine. Gardaí stopped a car in Monasterevin last night, recovering around 3kg of drugs. A 40-year-old man from north Dublin and a 35-year-old from Monasterevin are being held for questioning at Naas Garda station.

Drugs worth an estimated €200,000 have been seized at a house in Dublin, garda have reported. Officers from the Tallaght Drugs Unit, Detective Unit and the DMR South Task Force carried out a planned search of a house in the Glenshane area of Tallaght at approximately 10pm on Monday, 07 November.

€200,000 Worth Of Cannabis Seized In Co Clare
Cannabis worth an estimated value of €200,000 has been seized by gardaí in Co Clare. A man in his 30s was arrested and the drugs were recovered during a planned search of a house in Kilvoyden, gardaí have said. A technical examination of the scene is expected to be carried out today, with the scene remaining sealed off.
