Investigations Launched Into Workplace Death In Cork
Investigations have been launched into the death of a 35-year-old man in a workplace accident in Co Cork.
It is understood that an incident occurred at around 1.30am at Architectural & Metal Systems, an aluminium manufacturing plant, in Little Island.
Garda and the Health and Safety Authority have launched separate investigations into the incident.

Two independent investigations have been launched following the death of a 59-year-old man in a workplace accident. The man died following an incident on a building site in Midleton, Co Cork, at approximately 12:49pm on Monday, 08 August, at St Coleman's Community College.

Investigation Launched Following Bone Discovery In Co Clare
An investigation has been launched following the discovery of a bone in Co Clare. A bone was found on Thursday, 22 September, on the Shannon riverbank at Doonass, Clonlara, on the Clare-Limerick border. Gardaí were called to the scene and are understood to have examined and photographed the scene before the bone was removed.

Man Killed In Construction Accident
A construction worker has died following an on-site accident in Galway. The man, believed to be in his late 20s, died in an accident which occurred around 1.15pm today at the Sports Grounds on College Road. The scene was cordoned off this afternoon as garda carried out a technical examination.

Man Remains Critical Following Luas Crash
A man remains in a critical condition after being struck by a Luas tram in Tallaght on Wednesday night. The collision occurred on the Red Line between the Kingswood and Red Cow stops, shortly before 8pm. The man suffered serious head injuries and was taken to Tallaght Hospital, before being transferred to Beaumont Hospital.
