Man Charged In Connection With David Douglas Murder
A man has appeared in court charged in connection with the murder of David Douglas earlier this year.
Frederick Thompson, aged in his 30s, appeared before the Criminal Courts of Justice in Dublin this morning, 07 November.
He is charged with the murder of David Douglas, who was fatally shot while standing on Bridgefoot Street in July.
It is understood Mr Thompson was remanded in custody to appear at Cloverhill District Court next week.

Mandate 'Disputes Committee' Meeting To Be Held Today
Trade union Mandate, which represents workers at supermarket chain Dunnes Stores, is to hold a special 'disputes committee' meeting in Dublin today. It is understood the meeting will be attended by shop stewards from across Ireland and will hold a vote on further proposed industrial action, in a dispute over pay, conditions and working hours.

68-Year-Old 'Traumatised' After Being Stabbed By Intruder In His Home
A 68-year-old man has been stabbed and knocked unconscious after he disturbed an intruder in his home. According to garda, the man returned home at about 16:15 on Wednesday and disturbed a burglar in his South Douglas Road home. The intruder hit the man on the head and stabbed him in the stomach before making off.

Brian Shivers Cleared Of Massereene Murders
Brian Shivers, who was originally convicted of the Real IRA murders of two soldiers at Massereene Barracks in 2009, has been acquitted at Belfast Crown Court today. The soldiers, Mark Quinsey, 23, and Patrick Azimkar, were shot bt the Real IRA as they collected pizza they had ordered.
