Two Men Charged In Connection With Dublin Tiger Kidnapping

Two men have appeared in court in relation to a tiger kidnapping incident last year in Co Dublin.

The suspects have been charged with the abduction of three women from their Malahide home on Friday, 25 September 2015.

During the incident, a post mistress was taken from her home and held captive overnight. She was then later brought to Bayside post office where a large sum of money was stolen.

The suspects, aged in their early to mid 50s, appeared at the Criminal Courts of Justice, Court 4, earlier today, 02 December.

Three men arrested yesterday following an incident at a halting site in Waterford have been brought to court. The three men were arrested on public order offences and two of the men have been charged with threatening and abusive behaviour. The other man has been charged with trespass.

A man has been charged with a series of arson attacks in Skibbereen, west Cork. 30-year-old Sean Byrne, of Bohernabreegha, Drimoleague, appeared at Clonakilty District Court accused of six separate arson attacks at a number of locations in Skibbereen.

An 18-year-old has appeared in court in Limerick charged in connection with a shooting incident last week. Liam Kelly, from Distillery View, Thomondgate, was charged with possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.

Fianna Fáil TD Charlie O’Connor, who is a member of the South Dublin County Joint Policing Committee, has welcomed the activation of a CCTV scheme in Tallaght, yesterday. Tallaght is the largest town in county Dublin outside the capital city centre.
