Suspicious Device Found In Rush Made Safe

A suspicious device has been made safe in Co Dublin.

Emergency services were alerted earlier today, 02 December, that a suspect device had been located in Rush.

An emergency cordon was established in the surrounding area and number of homes were evacuated.

The Army Bomb Disposal Team arrived at the scene at 9.40am and site was declared safe at 11.30am. The device has been removed to a secure military location for further examination.

In a statement, the Irish Defence Forces said: "Material of an evidential nature will be handed over to An Garda Síochána to assist them with their investigation."

Explosive Device Made Safe In Dublin
An explosive device was made safe by the Army early on Tuesday morning in Dublin. A bomb disposal team arrived at Cushlawn Park, Tallaght, at 2.35am to deal with the object outside a private home. Local people were evacuated, and the scene was declared safe at 3.20am.

Explosive Device Thrown Through Window
An improvised explosive device thrown through the window of a house in Coolock, Dublin early this morning has been made safe by the Army bomb disposal team. The device was thrown through the downstairs sitting room window of a house at Belcamp Crescent in Dublin 17 around 02:15.

Suspicious Device Found At Dublin Pub
Bomb disposal experts were tasked to a Dublin pub on Sunday morning, after being alerted to the finding of a suspicious device. Experts examined the device found outside the north Dublin Jolly Toper premises, concealed in a package located in a vehicle in the car park on Church Street, Finglas at around 8.30am.

'Viable' Device Made Safe In Limerick
A suspicious object found in Limerick on Wednesday evening was a viable bomb, gardaí have confirmed. Shortly after 6pm, a number of homes were evacuated at Knight's Court in Newcastle West after a suspicious object was found underneath a car. An Army Bomb Disposal Team was sent to the scene and the device was made safe.
