Man Charged With Theft And Fraud Offences In Cork
A 45-year-old man has appeared in court charged in connection with a number of theft and fraud offences in Cork City.
An investigation began in 2014 after Gardaí received a complaint against the suspect.
The man was originally arrested on 10 December 2015 regarding offences under the Criminal Justice (Theft and Fraud Offences) Act, 2001.
He was released from Garda custody without charge and a file was prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions, who directed that he be charged with a number of offences. He was re-arrested and appeared before Cork City District Court on Tuesday, 03 January.
The suspect was remanded on bail to appear again before the court on Thursday, 16 February.

Man In Court Over Cork Murder
A 28-year-old man has appeared in court charged with the murder of Brian McKee in Cork at the weekend. Mr McKee, a father-of-two from Ballinure Avenue in Mahon, was found unconscious at St Michael's Road in the early hours of Saturday morning. He had suffered multiple stab wounds to the chest. He was taken to hospital but later died.

Terror Suspects Bailed
Although charged with INLA membership, two Irish men were granted bail at the Special Criminal Court today. John McCrossan (46), from Strabane, and Neil Myles, of no fixed abode, are each charged with membership of an illegal organisation - styling itself on the INLA - on February 22, contrary to the Offences against the State Act.

Two Charged Over Cork Assault
Two men have been arrested in connection with a serious assault on a businessman at a Cork industrial estate on Tuesday. A man returning to his business at Churchfield Industrial Estate at about 16:45 on Tuesday was approached by two men, who demanded money. Following a struggle, the 30-year-old man was left with serious injuries.
