Renewed Appeal On 10-Year Anniversary Of Michael Gallagher Murder
Gardaí in Tallaght have renewed an appeal for information regarding the murder of Michael Gallagher in January 2007.
Mr Gallagher was fatally stabbed when he was attacked by two men at his home at 49 Tymonville Road, Tallaght, on Thursday 18 January, 2007.
Gardaí have said that Mr Gallagher and his partner were at home that night when two masked men forced their way into the house. Mr Gallagher was attacked in his kitchen shortly after 10pm.
During the assault, he sustained a fatal knife wound to the body. The assailants left the house and fled the scene on foot. Michael's partner was also injured in the attack.
Issuing the renewed appeal on the 10-year anniversary of Mr Gallagher's death, Detective Inspector John Walsh said: "We are issuing an appeal to those people who, in the passage of time, may not have come forward at the time of the murder but may now feel comfortable to do so."
Gardaí continue to liaise with the family of Michael Gallagher in connection with the murder investigation and are seeking witnesses or anyone with information, particularly those who may have seen two men on the roadway near the home place of Michael Gallagher around 10pm on the evening, or any unusual activity observed in the Tymonville area on the evening of 18 January 2007, to contact them at Tallaght Garda Station on 01 6666000, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666111, or any Garda Station.

Appeal Issued For 14-Year-Old Michael McDonagh
Gardaí have issued appeal for help in tracing the whereabouts of 14-year-old Michael McDonagh. The teenager was last seen at 8pm on the evening of 15th January, 2018 on the Main Street in Newbridge. He is described as approximately 5'10" in height, of slight build with short brown hair.

Man Arrested In Michael Devoy Murder Investigation
Gardaí investigating the murder of Michael Devoy in January this year have arrested a man in his early 20s. A routine garda patrol in the Bohernabreena area of Tallaght, found the body of Mr Devoy on 18 January. He had been shot dead. Garda have confirmed they have arrested a man in his early 20s in connection with the murder.

Gardaí in Co Meath have launched a murder investigation following the discovery of a man's body in a field. The body of Paul Gallagher (26) was found at about 17:00 on Wednesday. Gardaí said that he had been shot several times. The body was removed to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda. A post-mortem is to be carried out today.
