Man In Court Over Alleged Investment Fraud
A man has appeared at Dun Laoghaire District Court today, 07 February, in connection with an investigation into alleged investment fraud and money laundering offences.
On Monday, 06 February, gardaí from the Garda National Economic Crime Bureau arrested two men in their 40s in connection with the alleged offences involving up to €5 million. The men were arrested in Co Dublin and Co Wicklow and detained at Dun Laoghaire and Bray Garda Stations.
As part of the investigation, the Garda National Economic Crime Bureau said it had frozen a "significant amount" of money held in Irish banks.
One of the men was scheduled to appear in court today. The other arrested man remains in custody at Dun Laoghaire Garda Station.
Investigations are continuing.

Remand On Dublin Woman's Death
A 61-year-old man has appeared in court charged with the unlawful killing of his wife in Ballybrack in Dublin last November. Thomas Breen, of Willowvale in Ballybrack, was charged before Dún Laoghaire District Court. 57-year-old Carmel Breen's body was found at her home in Ballybrack on 7 November.

A man has been charged in connection with an assault on three males in Dublin. The attack happened at Broadford Road in Ballinteer on Thursday, 05 May. The three victims, aged 20, 18 and early teens were cycling on Broadford Road when they were assaulted by four other males who were travelling in a car described as a blue coloured Peugeot.

Two Arrested Following Supermarket Raid
Two men have been arrested following a raid at a supermarket in the Clarehall area in Dublin last night. At around 10.30pm, two men armed with a knife entered the premises on the Malahide Road and threatened two members of staff, before tying them up and attacking them. The pair then left the scene with a sum of cash.

Three More Questioned Over Quinn Murder
Three men are being questioned by the PSNI about the brutal gang-murder of Co Armagh man Paul Quinn after three others were arrested by gardaí earlier. The three men arrested by the PSNI are from the Crossmaglen and Cullyhanna areas and while two are aged in their 50s, one is in his 20s.
