Girl Critical Following Two Car Collision
A young girl is in a critical condition in hospital following a two-vehicle collision in County Clare this morning.
According to reports two cars collided at about 9.15am on the main Ennis to Ennistymon road, near Inagh.
The child was treated by emergency services at the scene before being taken by air ambulance to University Hospital Limerick.
The male drivers of both vehicles involved in the collision are also being treated in hospital. There is no report on their conditions.
The road remains closed to allow for a forensic examination and diversions are in place.

A number of separate road crashes this weekend have claimed four lives, including a father and son. John Gallagher, 55, and his 24-year-old son Sean died when their car collided with another vehicle at Burt on Saturday morning. A man has been arrested after fleeing from the scene of a fatal accident on County Cork in the early hours of this morning. Two men in their 20s were killed in a head on collision of two vehicles at approximately 2.45am this morning on the N25 at Caherulton, Castlemartyr, County Cork.

Two Dead In Separate Collisions
Two people have died on Ireland's roads after traffic collisions in Dublin and Kilkenny in the last two days. In the latest incident, a male aged 19 was fatally injured when the motorcycle he was driving collided with a stationary vehicle. His body was taken to Tallaght Hospital.

Witness Appeal Following Death Of A Man In Co Monaghan
Gardaí have appeal for witnesses following the death of a man in County Monaghan. The body of the man, believed to be aged in his 80s, was discovered on the side of the road at Carnaveigh, Castleblaney at 4pm on Wednesday, 11 October. A blue Opel Corsa was found crashed nearby. The driver of the car, a woman in her 20s, was not injured.
