Man Injured In Shooting Incident In Coolock
Gardaí have appealed for information on a shooting incident at Belcamp Crescent in Coolock shortly before midnight on Wednesday 29 March.
A 45-year-old man suffered an apparent gunshot wound to his leg when a man forced entry to his house and discharged a firearm. He received medical assistance at the scene before being taken to Beaumont Hospital with non life threatening injuries. No other injuries have been reported.
The suspect, described as being a young man, 5'7" in height, wearing a balaclava, a navy coloured hooded top, black gloves and black runners, fled from the scene on foot to an awaiting car.
A short later Gardaí found a black coloured Volkswagon Golf partial registration 99 C, was discovered, partially burnt out, at Greenwood Walk.
A second car, a green coloured Honda CRV with a partial registration number 99 D was also later located close to Shamrock Cottages in the North Strand area. Both vehicles have been seized for technical examination and scenes have been preserved.
Investigations are on-going and no arrests have been made.
Investigating Gardaí are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information, particularly those who may have observed the blue BMW and/or the green Honda CRV prior to or after this incident, to contact them at Coolock Garda Station on 01 6664200, The Garda Confidential Line 1800 666111 or any Garda station.

Man Dies In Stabbing Incident
A 30-year-old has died and a second man has been injured in a stabbing incident in Tullamore, Co Offaly, shortly after 7am this morning. It is believed there had been an argument in a house in the area and a Polish man was killed. The other man's injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Hunt For Killers Of Galway Man Launched
A detailed description of the killer of Galway man Kieran Cunningham who died on Wedensday has been released by Gardaí. The 20-year-old man was stabbed to death in what is believed to have been an unprovoked attack in the early hours of Wednesday night.

Woman's Body Found In County Laoise
Gardai are continuing with their investigations after the discovery of a woman's body in County Laoise. The woman, believed to be in her 30s, was found at a flat in Mountrath. The alarm was raised shortly after 8pm on Friday. A man in his 30s has been arrested in relation to the incident and is detained at Portlaoise Garda Station.

An appeal has been issued for help in tracing 81-year-old Thomas Kennedy, who has been missing since Tuesday. Mr Kennedy, from Finglas in Dublin, was last seen in the Virginia Park area at about 21:00 on Tuesday. He is described as 5' 4" tall, of slim build, with short grey hair.
