Four Arrests Over Mark Desmond Murder
Four men have been arrested by garda investigating the murder of Mark Desmond on the 02 December 2016.
Two men, aged in their 20s and 30s, were arrested in the Clondalkin and Lucan areas on Tuesday, 13 June.
Two other men, both aged in their 20s, were also arrested in the Lucan area.
The arrests were made following a planned operation involving the local Detective Unit, Regional Armed Support Unit and other local units.
Mark Desmond was found dead with gunshot wounds at Griffeen Valley Park in Lucan.
Garda are continuing to appeal for information.

Over 100 Arrests Made In Organised Crime Sweep
113 people have been arrested as part of an operation targeting organised crime. Gardaí carried out some 236 planned searches across the country in relation to the investigation. Around 4,200 cannabis plants with an estimated street value of €3.5 million were seized at five grow houses in counties Cork, Meath, Wexford and Dublin yesterday.

Off-Duty Garda Attacked With Samurai Sword
A court has heard how an off-duty garda was attacked with a samurai sword as he chased two men who had just robbed a shop. Detective Garda Shane Kelly saw the raiders flee from the scene and chased them in his personal car. When he cornered their vehicle near Lucan one of the raiders used the sword to smash the detective’s windscreen.

Arrests Made After Cocaine Seizure
Cocaine with an estimated value of €250,000 has been seized and two men arrested in the Rathmines area of Dublin, garda have said. The drugs were uncovered during a planned search of a flat on Leinster Road, Rathmines on Monday. It was part of an operation targetting the sale and supply of drugs in Dublin.

Arrests Made After €400,000 Cannabis Seizure
Garda in Co Galway have arrested two men following the seizure of cannabis with an estimate value of €400,000. Officers from the National Drugs Unit carried out a search of a private residence in Tuam, Co Galway, at around 17:00 on Tuesday, uncovering 20kg of the drug. Two men, aged 49 and 41, were arrested at the scene.
