Man Arrested In Connection With Portarlington Cannabis Seizure
A man has been arrested in connection with the seizure of cannabis herb following a planned house search in Portarlington.
The search was carried out just before 11pm on Monday, 19 June. Cannabis herb worth an estimated €80,000 was uncovered during the operation.
The man, aged in his 50s, was arrested at the scene and is currently detained under Section 2 Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act at Portlaoise Garda station.

Gardaí in Co Kildare have seized cannabis worth an estimated €800,000. The find was made during a planned search of a house in Crossmorris on Monday. Officers seized 40kg of cannabis herb in the search. A 43-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the find.
