Witness Appeal Following Death Of A Man In Co Monaghan
Gardaí have appeal for witnesses following the death of a man in County Monaghan.
The body of the man, believed to be aged in his 80s, was discovered on the side of the road at Carnaveigh, Castleblaney at 4pm on Wednesday, 11 October.
A blue Opel Corsa was found crashed nearby. The driver of the car, a woman in her 20s, was not injured.
The body of the man has been removed to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital where a post mortem examination will take place and the road at the scene remains closed to facilitate an examination of the area by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to contact Castleblaney Garda Station on 042 9747900.

Missing Man Found 'Safe And Well'
A missing 24-year-old man has been found "safe and well". Alex Sherwin had been reported missing on Sunday, with garda issuing a public appeal for assistance. No information on Mr Sherwin's whereabouts have been released, but garda said the investigation had now ended. They thanked the public for their help.

Witness Appeal Following Fatal Road Collision In Co Meath
Gardaí in Co Meath have appealed for witnesses to a fatal road traffic collision near Dunboyne on Tuesday afternoon. A 91-year-old man was seriously injured when the car he was driving collided with a lorry at about 1pm on Tuesday, 23 August, at Pace, near Dunboyne. The elderly man was pronounced dead at Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown.

The man died after being struck by a car at around 8.30pm on Monday on the N80 between Stradbally and Bloomfield. The man was treated at the scene by emergency services and removed to Portlaoise General Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Witness Appeal Following Armed Robbery In Kildare
Gardaí have issued an appeal for witnesses following an armed robbery in Athy, Co Kildare. A man carrying a hand gun entered a shop in the Dunbrin area of Athy at around 4pm on Friday, 12 August. After threatening staff and demanding money, he left the scene with a sum of cash. No one was injured during the incident.

Body Found In Co Donegal
Gardai have launched an investigation after a body was discovered in Bundoran, Co Donegal, this morning (25 April). The body, believed to be a man aged in his 60's or 70's, was found near the shore in the West End of the town. It is believed the body remains at the scene.
