Warning Issued After Two Unattended Cars Stolen While Defrosting
Gardai have issued a warning to drivers to not leave their car running while defrosting their windows.
The warning was issued after two cars were stolen on Friday morning, 17 November, after the drivers left their vehicles unattended while running.
Gardai said that anyone defrosting their vehicles should remain in the car or use an ice scraper.

Decrease of 14.6% In New Private Cars Licensed
There were 10,581 new private cars licensed in March 2012, compared with 12,390 in March 2011, a decrease of 14.6%. The number of new goods vehicles licensed in March 2012 was 1,155 compared with 1,179 in the corresponding month last year - a decrease of 2.0%.

17 People Arrested In Warrants Search Operations
Gardaí have arrested 17 people in a series of raids in the Tallaght and Rathfarnham areas. Garda staged a "day of action" on Thursday 27 June in an operation targeting people wanted by the courts for various drugs, burglary, theft, road traffic offences and public order matters offences.

Three Men Hit By Car Fleeing From Garda
Three men are being treated in hospital after being hit by a car which was being pursued by gardaí. Gardaí have said a Hyundai Accent struck three men, aged in their 70s, and crashed into two parked cars outside the pitch and putt course in Parteen, Co Clare, at about 17:00 on Thursday.
