Man Arrested In Connection With Co Cavan NYE Murder
Gardaí have arrested a 38-year-old man in connection with a stabbing incident in Co Cavan on New Year's Eve.
Marek Swider was fatally stabbed in a violent incident at a house on Dublin Street in Ballyjamesduff on Sunday, 31 December.
The arrest was made in Cork city this morning, Thursday 04 January. The suspect is being held at Bridewell Garda Station in Cork.
Gardaí continue to appeal for information on the death of Mr Swider and said that their investigation is ongoing.

Man Arrested In Stabbing Incident
Gardaí investigating a fatal stabbing incident in Dublin have made an arrest. On Sunday (17 August), David Sheridan, 45, suffered serious injuries in the incident which occurred at North Strand in the city. He was transferred to the Mater Misericordise University Hospital but later died from his injuries.

Men Arrested Over €1m Cocaine And Heroin Find
Heroin and cocaine, with an estimated street value of €1m, has been recovered in a house search in Ballyfermot on Tuesday. Gardaí arrested two men, aged in their 30s, at the scene after officers uncovered 13kgs of cocaine worth an estimated €900,000 and 1.5kgs of heroin, with an estimated value of €225,000.
