Man Killed In Tractor Collision In Co Donegal
Gardai in Letterkenny are investigating a fatal road traffic collision that occurred in Co Donegal earlier today, 12 January.
The collision occurred at approximately 6.55am on the Lifford to Letterkenny road at Drumoghill – approximately three to four miles outside Letterkenny – between a car and a tractor.
A 68-year-old man was fatally injured when the tractor he was driving collided with the car. He was pronounced dead at the scene and his body has been taken to the morgue at Letterkenny University Hospital.
The driver of the car was injured and also taken to Letterkenny University hospital for treatment. His injuries are unknown at this stage.
The road is currently closed to facilitate a Forensic collision examination, local diversions are in place.
Witnesses to the collision are asked to contact Letterkenny Garda station on 074 9167100, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.

Man Dies In Donegal Road Crash
A man has died in a road crash in Donegal. The collision, between a car and a lorry, occurred at Tullytrap on the main Letterkenny to Lifford Road, on Thursday, 04 August. The driver of the car was taken to Letterkenny University Hospital, however he later died from his injuries. A passenger in the vehicle is currently being treated in hospital.

Four Men Dead In Separate Collisions
A total of four men have died in a spate of separate car collisions over the weekend. In the most recent incident, a motorcyclist collided with a pick-up truck towing a trailer, resulting in the death of the motorcyclist, a man in his late 20s. The collision which occurred at Cloghnadromin, Ballysimon, CoLimerick at approx 1.30pm on Sunday.

Man Killed In Roscommon Road Collision
Gardaí have issued an appeal for witnesses to a fatal road traffic collision at Ardkern, Roscommon. A man (20) was seriously injured when the car he was travelling in as a passenger left the road and struck a ditch. He was taken to Sligo University Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
