Stripe To Establish New Engineering Hub In Dublin

Dozens of new engineer positions are to be created by technology platform Stripe over the next few years in Dublin.

The news comes as the company plans to establish its European headquarters in Silicon Docks.

Welcoming the announcement, Chief Executive Officer of IDA Ireland Martin Shanahan said: "It is a very exciting time for Stripe. They currently employ around 100 people in Ireland and I am delighted that it is their intention to significantly scale the business here in the coming years.

"With a highly skilled workforce Ireland is the ideal location for tech companies like Stripe who are looking to grow their business and access the European market.

"It was also very promising to learn that Ireland's emergence as an innovative and leading global technological hub was a determining factor in Stripe's decision to expand their operations here."
