Property Prices Rise By 13% In The Year To February
Residential property prices have risen by 13% in the year to February, according to statistics published by the Central Statistics Office (CSO).
There has also been a 12% increase in the year to February, and a 9.7% increase in the 12 months to February 2017.
In the year to February in Dublin residential property and house prices have risen by 12.7% and 12.3% respectively. But apartments saw the biggest difference with a 14.5% increase.
The biggest price growth was found in the Midlands, beating all Dublin properties with a reported 14.8% increase in house prices.
The South-East was least affected by the price growth with only an 8.6% rise in house prices.
Nationally, apartments were found have the biggest increase in price with 15%, compared to the 12.7% increase for houses.
CSO numbers also show that national residential property prices have increased by 74.6% since 2013, Dublin prices have gone up 90.6% since February 2012, and prices in the rest of Ireland have risen 66.7% since May 2013.
Brokers Ireland said the statistics were an indication of the severe housing deficit.

Property Prices Drop By 0.6% In October
Residential property prices fell by 0.6% in October, according to the latest figures by the Central Statistics Office (CSO). This compares with an increase of 0.9% recorded in September and a decline of 2.2% recorded in October of last year. In Dublin residential property prices fell by 0.2% in October and were 7.1% lower than a year ago.

The latest figures from the Central Statistics Office (CSO) have revealed a 10.7% increase in residential property prices across Ireland. The figures show that in Dublin residential property prices increased by 8.3% in the year to February, Dublin house prices rose 8.1% and apartments increased 9.1% in the same period.
