460 People Waiting On Hospital Beds
460 people are currently waiting on hospital beds nationwide today, April 16, according to statistics published by the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation (INMO).
The trolley watch figures show that University Hospital, Limerick is the worst affected with 51 waiting patients, shortly followed by Cork University Hospital with 39.
329 of the total waiting list are waiting on trolleys across Ireland, while the remaining 139 are in overflow wards waiting on spaces.
Despite not being being the worst affected overall St Vincent's University Hospital has 30 people waiting on trolleys, the most of any in the country.
Last week saw the lowest waiting number at 505, making today the lowest amount since April 6 when 437 patients were waiting on beds.

Outpatient Waiting Lists 'Abysmal'
The government's record on outpatient waiting lists has been described as "abysmal", with new figures revealing a 323% increase in the number of people waiting more than 18 months for an outpatient appointment at University Hospital Galway – they're up from 1,184 in May 2016 to 5,008 at the end of January this year.
