Security To Be Increased On North Dublin DART Line
Security is to be increased at a number of north Dublin DART stations following reports about violence and anti-social behaviour.
According to an RTE report, some drivers want to stop DART trains from travelling to northside stations after 7pm at weekends following a number of incidents.
RTE figures also revealed that anti-social behaviour on Iarnród Éireann trains had jumped by 43% in a two-year period.
Additional security personnel will be put on duty at one specific station, with three mobile security patrols working across the northside of the city.
The news comes after DART services were delayed earlier this month with reports of impatient commuters breaking train windows and forcing doors open following a Liam Gallagher gig at Malahide Castle.
