Man's Body Discovered At His Home In Co Cork
An investigation has been launched following the discovery of a man's body at a house in Douglas, Co Cork.
It is understood that the body of a 66-year-old man was discovered in the hallway of his home, at Galway's Lane in Douglas, by his wife at about 8am this morning, Monday 02 July.
Gardaí are treating the man's death as suspicious.
A post-mortem examination is due to be carried out today, which garda have said will determine the course of the investigation.
Gardaí have appealed for anyone who was in the area between 10pm last night and 8.30am this morning to contact them at Togher Garda Station on 021-4947120, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666111 or any garda station.

A 70-year-old man has been arrested by gardaí investigating a fatal road traffic accident in Gneeveguilla, Co Kerry. A cyclist was fatally injured when hit by a car in Scrahanfadda, on Sunday, 01 July. The elderly man is being detained at Bandon Garda Station under the provisions of Section 4- Criminal Justice Act 1984.

Teen Arrested Following Firearm Seizure
A 19-year-old man has been arrested by gardaí following the seizure of a firearm in Tallaght, Dublin. He was arrested on the Jobstown Road at approximately 12.40am on Tuesday morning. Gardaí were alerted after a man was seen holding a weapon. The male was chased on foot and gardaí disarmed and arrested him.
