Youth Arrested In Connection With Murder Of Bruno Rolandi

Gardaí in Tullamore have arrested a youth in connection with the murder of Bruno Rolandi.

Mr Rolandi, an Italian national, was discovered with a number of knife wounds at a property in Ballymoran, Edenderry, Co Offaly on 19 November, 2017.

A Gardaí spokesperson said: "Gardaí in Tullamore have arrested a youth in relation to the murder of Bruno Rolandi that occurred at Green Road, Ballymoran, Edenderry, Co Offaly on 19th November, 2017.

"The youth will appear before Tullamore District Court this morning, Monday 17th September, 2018 at 10.30am."

Irish Youth Club Funding Increased
Funding for Irish youth clubs has been increased by 12% this year, the Minister for Children and Youth Affairs, Dr Katherine Zappone has announced. The increased funding will bring the overall allocation for the scheme to over €2m and will provide small volunteer-led youth clubs with greater capacity to reach more young people during 2019.

Women Arrested Over Emily Barut Murder
Gardaí have arrested a woman in her 50s this morning as part of an investigation into the murder of Emily Barut. 11-year-old Emily died at her home on Bachelors Walk, Tullamore on 15 September 2012. The woman is due to appear at Tullamore District this morning at 10:30 charged in relation to the investigation.
