Apprenticeship App Opens 'A World Of Possibility'

Fine Gael has welcomed the launch of a new Apprenticeship App, which it said can "open up a world of possibility".

Limerick TD, Tom Neville said: "I was very pleased to see this new initiative by the Mid-West Regional Skills forum in association with Limerick Clare Education and Training Board.

"The app should make it easier for people looking to begin their apprenticeship journey.

"The app is first for Ireland and will make it easier to link potential apprentices with approved registered apprenticeship employers across all industry sectors.

"I worked in recruitment myself before I became a TD; apprenticeships are highly valued by employers.

"Apprenticeships are designed by industry-led groups, supporting growth and competitiveness. They can open up exciting and rewarding careers, in a wide variety of industries, with learning grounded in the practical experience of working in the real world.

"Apprenticeships can last between 2 and 4 years with a minimum of 50% on-the-job learning. The skills an apprenticeship gives you are valued all over the world.

"My advice is to download the app today and you will see a new world of possibility open up," the Fine Gael TD said.
