Fresh Gardaí Appeal After Alleged Fatal Assault In Kerry

Gardaí have renewed their appeal for witnesses after a man died following an alleged assault in Kilorglin, County Kerry.

The incident happened early on Sunday morning, 09 February.

The 32-year-old was assaulted at a fast food outlet at the Square in Kilorglin at around 2.40am.

He later died at Cork University Hospital.

A post-mortem examination is expected to take place today, with Gardaí actions to be determined based on the results.

Anyone who was in the Square in Kilorglin from around 2.30am on Sunday morning is asked to contact Killarney Garda Station or the confidential line on 1800 666 111.

Gardaí in Dublin are searching for three people in connection with an alleged sexual assault at Cobra Park on Sunday. It is understood that a woman alleges she was attacked in the park, near Phibsborough, at about 19:45 on Sunday night. The woman is being treated at the Rotunda Hospital's sexual assault unit.

Man Charged Over Serious Assault
A man in his 20s is expected to appear in court, charged in connection with a serious assault that happened at Dorset Street, Dublin. On Sunday morning, at around 1.45am, Gardaí were called to the scene at an apartment at Kelly's Row. A man, aged in his 30s, was suffered serious injuries in the attack and was taken to hospital for treatment.

Man Flees With Mother's Body
A man has fled from his home in Kerry with the body of his dead mother. According to reports, the 91-year-old woman, who is originally from the south of England but had been living with her son in the Kenmare area, died on holiday in Malta in September.

Eight Arrested In Dundalk Murder Inquiry
Gardaí investigating the murder of Aidan Myers in Dundalk last year have arrested eight people. Six men and two women were arrested this morning. It is understood that four men, aged 19 and 26, are being questioned in relation to Mr Myers' murder, while two men and two women are being questioned on suspicion of withholding information.
