Cars Seized And Man Arrested In Limerick Operation

Members of the Criminal Assets Bureau (CAB) have seized a number of vehicles as part of an operation in County Limerick.

A quantity of suspected cocaine worth around €20,000 was also uncovered.

A 42-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday morning, 12 February, and is being detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice Act.

Six premises were searched in total, five residential and one business, all under CAB warrants.

The probe is based on an organised crime gang in the area that is involved in the sale and supply of controlled drugs.

Gardaí said the search operation is "a significant development" in the investigation.

A '151' Audi A6, '151' VW, '131' Range Rover Sport and a Harley Davidson motorcycle were among the seized vehicles, along with a haul of laptops, mobile phones and materials evident of drug dealing activities.

Drugs And Money Seized In North Inner City
Gardaí have seized drugs and money in a joint operation with Revenue Customs Service in Dublin's north inner city. Authorities uncovered approximately 50 kgs of herbal cannabis, subject to analysis, and an estimated €1m in cash. It is understood that the drugs and money were concealed in a consignment of soap from Spain.

Man Arrested Over 39kg Of Cannabis Resin
Officers from the National Drugs Unit have arrested a man in connection with the discovery of cannabis resin worth an estimated value of €234,000. The man, aged in his 40s, was arrested on Thursday at a service station on the M1 southbound at about 09:00am in what has been described as an "intelligence-led operation".
